Still Summer at Area Farmers’ Markets

Summer vacation may be over for us at TLC!, but it is still high summer in area gardens and that means our local farmers’ markets are overflowing with healthy, local foods. This time of year, look for heat-loving veggies like tomatoes, summer squash, eggplant, cucumbers and corn, just to name a few . Local eggs, meats and crafts are also available.

Farmers’ markets have multiplied in our area in recent years. Take your pick from the Saturday markets in Murphy, Andrews and Hayesville and the mid-week markets in Hayesville (Thursday evenings) and Brasstown (Wednesday mornings). They’ll be in full swing well into the fall so go take advantage of our local bounty.
