Eat a Rainbow
In April our nutrition emphasis was on the importance of eating a variety of colorful fruits and vegetables. Ms. Debby put signs on the salad bar with information about why we need vegetables of various colors and there was a bulletin board up in the Dining Commons displaying fruits and vegetables of different colors and their importance to our health. Students in many of the younger participated in an “Eat A Rainbow” activity where students made a colorful fruit kabob while they discussed the importance of eating many fruits and vegetables. And, of course, they enjoyed eating their rainbow kabob.
