Cherokee Studies
While students in grades sixth, seventh and eighth traveled to Nashville for their end of the school year class trip, students remaining at TLC spent the time learning about the heritage and culture of the Cherokee Indians. Students studied beadwork, pottery, and the Cherokee language. They also spent the week building a replica of a Cherokee Village. On Friday, the lower grades came to visit the village while students in 6th -8th grade lead the presentation and taught the younger students about what they had been learning throughout the week.
